PadNotes Paves the Way for iPad Use in the Lecture Hall

Luke Turcotte You best be excited about this one. When the iPad was first released, we gave you our opinion on what this "revolutionary" device was going to mean to students. Just a few days ago Tipirneni Software released a YouTube video demoing their first application for the iPad, PadNotes. This is the app I've been dreaming about. Sure, it still needs to be approved by Apple for sale in the App Store, but the ability to type and draw on top of PDF formatted lecture slides is just awesome. Until we give PadNotes a go on a real iPad it's impossible to say if this is going to live up to the hype, and no doubt in 2-6 months there is going to be 100 copy cat applications in the store with smoother and more natural interactivity. But I digress, PadNotes is paving the way for lecture recording on the iPad. Have a look.

Uh, I've been able to doodle on top of PDF formatted lecture slides (and powerpoint slides) for awhile now.
It's called Microsoft OneNote.
Amy, you're right. Except the current implementations are limited to:
i. Tablet PC's
ii. Windows OS
iii. Expensive Hardware
This may sound like your typical fanboy complaints but the reality is, it's hard not be excited about a $500 device that's a cm thick, 10+ hour battery life and is more or less crash proof (big deal when taking notes).
What happens when your typing away in OneNote and you want to draw a diagram? Do you pull out your stylus and flip + swivel the screen down waiting for the OS to recognize the device orientation? What about when it's time to type again? Suddenly an onscreen keyboard makes sense.
Oh, the more I read about the iPad & its apps, the more I want one :)
I really like this type of Shoes too, can you help me look at which one has higher price point?

really good point. i do this subconciously with my nephew alot. i'll say stuff like: "wow, you are studying bar graphs in math!? it took me a week to figure them out but they are fun!" and i think it boosts his confidence to know that even his Aunt finds some things hard and that he doesn't have to feel bad when he struggles. i'm so glad i found your blog!rolex watches replicas
